Polychrome Jasper, sometimes known as Desert Jasper, is a colourful variety of Jasper discovered in Madagascar. It is an opaque form of microcrystalline Quartz formed through volcanic and sedimentary processes over millions of years.
The remarkable colour variations within Polychrome Jasper are created by mineral inclusions, particularly iron and other trace elements, producing a wide spectrum of colours ranging from reds and oranges to creams, greys, greens, pinks, and earthy browns.
