Geological Information
This fascinating specimen combines three very different minerals that formed together through hydrothermal geological processes.
Mangano Calcite is a manganese-rich variety of Calcite responsible for the specimen's soft pink colouring and vivid fluorescent response under UV light. Pyrite formed as metallic iron sulphide crystals, adding flashes of golden sparkle throughout the piece. Galena, a lead sulphide mineral, contributes its distinctive metallic lustre and dense crystal structure.
The combination creates a visually striking mineral association that is highly desirable amongst collectors for both its beauty and geological significance.
