Flower Rhyolite Sphere

A beautiful Flower Rhyolite Sphere displaying intricate natural patterns that resemble blooming flowers scattered across the stone. These remarkable formations, combined with soft earthy tones of green, cream, brown, grey, and beige, create a truly unique and eye-catching display piece.

Flower Rhyolite is also commonly sold under the trade names Flower Jasper and Sakura Rhyolite. Despite the frequent use of the word "Jasper" in the trade name, this material is not actually a Jasper. It is a volcanic rock known as Rhyolite, formed through ancient volcanic activity and later altered by complex geological processes that created its distinctive flower-like patterns.

The sphere shape beautifully showcases the stone's natural artwork from every angle, allowing the intricate formations to be fully appreciated. Its gentle colour palette and organic patterns make it a wonderful addition to crystal collections, sacred spaces, and nature-inspired home décor.

This piece comes with the brown wooden stand shown in the photographs, allowing it to be displayed immediately.

Symbolism of the Sphere

Crystal spheres are often associated with wholeness, unity, harmony, and balance. Their symmetrical shape allows energy to flow evenly in all directions, symbolically representing completeness and interconnectedness.

Many people are drawn to spheres for meditation, reflection, or simply as beautiful display pieces. The shape encourages a sense of calm and perspective, reminding us that growth unfolds in cycles and that every stage of life contributes to the greater whole.

Combined with Flower Rhyolite, the sphere becomes a symbol of personal growth, transformation, resilience, and the beauty that can emerge through life's changing seasons.

Geological Information

Flower Rhyolite is a silica-rich volcanic rock formed through ancient volcanic activity. The distinctive flower-like patterns that give the stone its name are created by mineral inclusions and spherulitic formations that developed as the molten material cooled and crystallised.

Although often marketed under the trade names Flower Jasper or Sakura Jasper, the material is not a true Jasper. Jasper is an opaque variety of Chalcedony, whereas Flower Rhyolite is a volcanic rock with a completely different geological origin and structure.
